Vikings fans had to wait a little while longer for their second pick in the draft after Minnesota traded the 87th pick to the 49ers for three picks, before selecting cornerback Mekhi Blackmon from USC with the 102nd pick.
San Francisco gave up picks 102 (the final pick in the third round), 164 (30th in the fifth round), and 222 (fifth in the seventh round), giving Minnesota five picks on day three of the draft.

Blackmon was ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper’s 18th best CB available in the draft.
The fifth-year senior transferred to USC after spending four years at Colorado. Blackmon had three interceptions for USC in 2022.
