Joshua Dobbs is being traded by the Arizona Cardinals to the Minnesota Vikings, according to NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
The #Vikings are trading for #AZCardinals QB Josh Dobbs, with plenty of starting experience, per me and @TomPelissero.

Dobbs has led Arizona to a 1-7 record this season, throwing for 1,569 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions. On Monday, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Dobbs will no longer being starting, with rookie Clayton Tune or Kyler Murray expected to take the starting job this week.
What did it take to trade for Dobbs? ESPN’s Josina Anderson is reporting that the Vikings and Cardinals will do a pick swap – a sixth-round pick for a seventh-round pick.
I'm told the #Vikings did a "pick swap –6th/7th" for Dobbs, per source https://t.co/Var36Wck5Q

Arizona acquired Dobbs from the Browns weeks before the start of the season. The 28-year-old quarterback has spent time with the Steelers, Jaguars, Browns, Lions, Titans and Cardinals.
In eight starts, Dobbs earned a Pro Football Focus passing grade of 55.3, which ranks 31st of 36 qualified quarterbacks in the NFL. But while his passing numbers aren’t out of this world, he has been a mobile quarterback in Arizona — and that ability is something that Kirk Cousins didn’t bring to the field.
Dobbs has 258 rush yards this season. Only Lamar Jackson (380 yards) and Jalen Hurts (280 yards) have rushed for more yards as quarterbacks this season. Cousins rushed for 25 yards in eight games.
He’s also had explosive runs out of the pocket. His five rushes of 20+ yards is actually second in the NFL. The only players with more 20+ yard runs this season are Miami running back De’Von Achane and Indianapolis’ Zack Moss, who each have six.
Dobbs is 28 years old and is on a one-year contract worth $1.5 million, according to Over The Cap. He’ll be a free agent in March so the Vikings have no obligation to him behind this season.
