The Vikings announced Friday that the contracts of defensive tackle Linval Joseph and cornerback Xavier Rhodes have been terminated.
Terminating their contracts makes them free agents, and all but guarantees that both will not be back with the Vikings for the 2020 season. Joseph was due to make $11.7M, as Rhodes was set to make $10.5M.
The new league year begins next week, with the free-agent tampering period beginning Monday and the official signing period opening next Wednesday afternoon.
More to come.
