Your favorite high school football team could be hanging out with Vikings players and cheerleaders before the end of the year.
The Vikings announced Wednesday that they are now taking nominations for their second annual “Minnesota Football Program of the Year” award. Caledonia High School in southeast Minnesota won the first award in 2015.
Nominations can be entered right here. You have until Oct. 4 to send in an entry.
The winning school will be visited by Vikings players and cheerleaders and receive a $10,000 check.
“Nominations will begin today, August 24, and will be accepted until October 4. In order to officially submit a respective school for nomination, all community entrants must fill out a nomination form.
Once a school has been officially nominated, fans are encouraged to promote their school’s nomination via social media using the hashtag #IntheGame along with their school name (e.g. #Caledonia). Fans can help their respective school earn votes by sharing photos of special moments at their school, team, city, family and fans that make their community and school the Minnesota Football Program of the Year.”
The winning school will be announced during the Vikings-Cowboys game at U.S. Bank Stadium on Dec. 1.
