Season ticket holders paying personal seat license fees will raise $100 million of the Minnesota Vikings’ contribution to build their new stadium, the Vikings, Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority and Wagner Sports and Entertainment announced at a news conference this morning.
According to the Star Tribune, the average price of seat licenses will be $2,500, although many will cost less than $2,000. The Vikings say 75 percent of seats will require licenses, a one-time fee for the right to purchase season-ticket seats.
Fans will have the option to make interest-free payments on seat licenses over a three-year period (2014-16).
Vikings Executive Director of Communications Jeff Anderson tweeted prices in more detail.
Avg. SBL price – $2,500. Upper level SBL avg. price – $980. More than 12,000 seats will not have an SBL.

Lower-level seats at the 50-yard line will be the most expensive ($9,500).
The new stadium, which is scheduled to open in 2016, is expected to cost about $1 billion. The Vikings are projected to pay $518 million of the bill, and the state and city of Minneapolis are on the hook for the rest of the cost.
In addition, the Vikings will open a 7,500-square-foot Preview Center in the coming weeks to allow fans to get an interactive look at the new stadium.
