After getting a four-day break following their Week 14 loss on Thursday Night Football to the Arizona Cardinals, the Vikings were back to work Tuesday in preparation for the Chicago Bears – but three of their best defensive players didn’t participate in practice.
According to ESPN, defensive tackle Linval Joseph (foot), outside linebacker Anthony Barr (hand/groin) and safety Harrison Smith (hamstring/knee) didn’t practice Tuesday. Fellow starting safety Andrew Sendejo (knee) did return to practice.

Joseph hasn’t played since Nov. 29 while Barr and Smith haven’t practiced since suffering injuries in Minnesota’s 38-7 home loss to Seattle on Dec. 6.
We’ll keep an eye on the rest of the week as the Vikings attempt to get as healthy as possible for the final three regular season games.
