Count the Minnesota Vikings in among the many supporters for an NFL player returning to the field after a scary fight with cancer.
Eric Berry, a 26-year-old safety for the Kansas City Chiefs, was medically cleared Wednesday to resume his playing career just eight months after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. You can read more about Berry’s bold battle via ESPN.
The Vikings sent Berry a message on Twitter saying they’re “Looking forward to competing in Week 6!” The Vikings and Chiefs meet Oct. 18 at TCF Bank Stadium for a 12 p.m. kickoff.

Berry isn’t an ordinary safety; he’s a three-time Pro Bowl player and was once named a First Team All-Pro.
