TCF Bank Stadium, the 2014 and 2015 home of the Purple, holds just under 51,000 at capacity.
Knowing that, Vikings fans can blame the fundamental business principal of supply and demand for the 2014 hike in season ticket prices, with duckets shooting up $2-$6 per game.
Keep in mind when looking at these comparison figures, that there were only nine home games this season for the Vikings, with one of their Metrodome games taking flight to England as part of the 2013 NFL in London series.
Therefore, prices look significantly higher for the 2014 season with 10 home games (two preseason, eight regular season) coming to TCF.
Some fans are saying the prices don’t just look higher because of the extra game and slight bump in price, but that they are actually much higher than the $2-$6 rise that has been advertised.
