The Vikings-Seahawks playoff game has created a stir in city governments. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges has a bet with Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, and it involves some unusual items like fish, beer and a Prince t-shirt.

Hodges says in the news release she thinks the Seahawks will “fall flat on their faces” during Sunday’s game because the Vikings’ defense is ready for revenge.
But Murray shot back in the release saying he expects the Seahawks to win “by an even wider margin” than they did in December, and then return to a third consecutive Super Bowl.

And with that, the bet is on.
If the Vikings win, Mayor Murray will send over some fresh salmon from Pike Place Fish Market, coffee from Starbucks and baked goods from Central District’s Kings Donuts.
If the Seahawks win, Mayor Hodges will send beer from Indeed Brewing Company, a stocking hat and mittens from Askov Finlayson, dates from Karmel Mall and a Prince t-shirt to Seattle.
