Finally, some good news about a Vikings running back.
No, Dalvin Cook’s hamstring injury isn’t any better, but Latavius Murray was caught on camera singing karaoke at a Twin Cities bar on Thursday night.
Murray, who has just 64 rushing yards this season, was a guest of Mike Mussman’s on KFAN’s “Vikings Country,” a weekly radio show that airs live with from establishments around the Twin Cities during the football season. Thursday’s broadcast was live at Shortstop Bar & Grill in Coon Rapids, where Murray capped off the night with a rendition of Toby Keith’s “As Good As I Once Was.”
In fairness, Murray is probably as good as he once was, but he’s been given very few rushing attempts this season, and the run blocking ahead of him has left plenty to be desired.
The Vikings are dead last in the NFL in rushing and this week they go up against Philadelphia, owners of the No. 1-ranked run defense.
Murray will likely play a big role in the game considering Cook didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday, thus carrying a questionable status in Sunday’s 3:25 p.m. kickoff.
