The battered and bruised Minnesota Vikings secondary has added depth with the team re-signing cornerback Jacob Lacey.
Lacey was with the Vikings in offseason before being released after undergoing minor knee surgery. Prior to that he played for the Lions (2009-2011) and the Colts (2012).
Lacey takes the roster spot of safety Harrison Smith, who was placed on injured reserve Friday. More on the Smith story here.
Lacey joins Chris Cook, Josh Robinson, Marcus Sherels, Xavier Rhodes and A.J. Jefferson as cornerbacks. Jefferson missed practice Thursday with an ankle injury.
Minnesota is allowing 308 passing yards/game… which ranks 29th in the NFL.
