The Minnesota Vikings will play the 12th-most difficult schedule in the NFL in 2015, according to CBSSports.com.
Minnesota will play NFC North teams twice, each team in the NFC West and AFC West once and one team from the NFC East and NFC South. Here’s the breakdown of specific teams and home and away games next season, courtesy of Vikings.com.
Home: Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Seattle, St. Louis, Kansas City, San Diego, and New York Giants.
Away: Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Arizona, San Francisco, Denver, Oakland and Atlanta.
The Vikings’ opponents combined for a 138-118 record last season, or a winning percentage of .539. Of the opponents, the Packers, Lions, Cardinals and Broncos made the playoffs in 2014.
Pittsburgh has the toughest schedule while Atlanta plays the easiest 16 games.
The NFL’s free agency period begins on March 10. That, along with the upcoming NFL Draft, will change the landscape of every roster in the NFL; so the strength of schedule doesn’t mean a whole lot at this point.
