With the nation watching on Monday Night Football, the Vikings picked up a 29-19 win over the New Orleans Saints at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Although things were tied up 3-3 after the first quarter, the Vikings took over in the second and never looked back.
After the Saints got three more points on the board, the Vikings offense responded with a 74-yard drive that took only three plays, ending with a Stefon Diggs touchdown.

As the first half wound down, Bradford continued to throw Diggs’ way, and the wideout caught another touchdown, taking a 16-6 lead heading into halftime.
By the time it was all said and done, Diggs made seven catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Fellow wideout Adam Thielen also had a big game, hauling in nine passes for 157 yards.
Bradford’s performance on Monday may have been the best of his career. The former No. 1 draft pick was 27-32 for 346 yards and three touchdowns.
His passer rating of 143.0 was a career high.
Meanwhile, the Vikings defense smothered Drew Brees and the Saints all night long. Other than a last-second touchdown, New Orleans’ offense had to settle for multiple field goals.
Former tailback Adrian Peterson was a non-factor, who had just 18 yards on six carries.
Dalvin Cook on the other hand, had a big game in his NFL debut for the Vikings. The rookie surpassed 120 yards on 22 carries.
With the win the Vikings are 1-0 on the season and they’ll travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday to play the Steelers.
