The Minnesota Vikings have already had their share of big injuries in 2016, but signs are pointing to a quick return for Vikings left guard Alex Boone.
Boone left Sunday’s game at Carolina with a hip injury. He didn’t return to the game and was scheduled for an MRI on Monday – so naturally everyone in Minnesota was assuming the worst.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer alleviated a few of those worries Monday when he confirmed that Boone should be ok to play Monday. The veteran took another step in that direction Friday returning to practice in a limited fashion.
Alex Boone and Zach Line returned to practice today. David Morgan and Sharrif Floyd were the only #Vikings players not practicing today.

Boone signed a 4-year $26.8 million contract with the Vikings during the offseason. He was the team’s biggest free agent signing.
