The truth can hurt and this truth is well known in Minnesota: The Vikings’ offensive line stinks.
Everyone else in the NFL is well aware of the mediocrity up front, too, including one scout who told the Green Bay Press Gazette that the right side of Minnesota’s offensive line is anchored by a “Burger King guy.”
“Lacks balance, punch, doesn’t have feet, gets overpowered,” the scout said of right tackle Jeremiah Sirles. “We used to call those guys Burger King guys. Why? Have it your way. You can beat him with power, with speed, on twists.”
In addition to giving Sirles a chance at Burger King endorsement, the scout explained just why Minnesota’s offensive line is so bad.
He said T.J. Clemmings “can be a turnstile,” Joe Berger is “pretty much done” and Nick Easton “is still learning.”
“The group that they’re putting out there is pretty bad,” the scout continued. “Right now there’s really only one guy that’s not a liability. That guy’s name is Boone.”
Alex Boone will start at left guard while he’s surrounded by this mess:

- RG: Joe “Done” Berger
- RT: Jeremiah “Burger King guy” Sirles
