The Vikings could be down as many as seven starters when they host the Saints on Sunday Night Football.
We’ll likely have to wait until 90 minutes before the 7:20 p.m. kickoff to find out, but the final injury report on Friday says linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring), safety Andrew Sendejo (groin), running back Dalvin Cook (hamstring) and left guard Tom Compton (knee) are all out, and left tackle Riley Reiff (foot) is listed as doubtful.
Both defensive tackle Linval Joseph (ankle/knee) and cornerback Xavier Rhodes (ankle) are questionable.
Cook has played in just one game since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Packers and there’s speculation that he’ll remain out until Week 11 when the Vikings return from their bye.
The good news is that Pro Bowl defensive end Everson Griffen will play for the first time in. more than a month. He’s missed the last five games after taking a leave of absence for a personal health matter.
The Saints aren’t expected to be without any key players.
