The Vikings will face Washington on Thursday and will be without Pro Bowl wide receiver Adam Thielen, who has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
Thielen, despite speaking optimistically about his chances to play during his Tuesday media session, was reportedly “highly unlikely” to suit up on short rest after suffered a mild hamstring strain while making a touchdown catch in Sunday’s 42-30 win over the Lions.
With Thielen out, the Vikings will again turn to Bisi Johnson for more action. Johnson, a rookie seventh-round pick, had four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown after Thielen was injured in Detroit.
Thielen is the only key player who won’t play for the Vikings Thursday night.
