Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway is scheduled to have arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, according to Vikings.com.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Greenway had some tenderness in the knee, had an MRI, and now doctors have determined that it needs to be cleaned up.
Greenway, an eight-year veteran, will miss OTA practices this week as well as next week’s mandatory minicam — but he should be ready for training camp in July.
“He just wanted to get it done now rather than run into a situation where we get to camp an it continues to bother him,” Frazier said.
Training camp in Mankato opens July 25.
