A Minnesota man and Vikings fan popped the question Thursday night with a little help from U.S. Bank Stadium.
Chris Winter tells BringMeTheNews he and his girlfriend, Jenna Kline, were at the Vikings-Rams game.
The pair – and several family members – was checking out the stadium’s new Legacy Ship which had just opened to the public that day. In fact, the Vikings say it was only installed the night before.
All around the 160-foot-long Vikings ship, there are 14,400 Legacy Bricks. More than a year ago, the Vikings invited fans to buy a brick to have a personalized message etched into it.
Winter says that he went out on a limb last December and bought one just for his girlfriend.
“It was a scary planning phase but I had faith it would work out,” he said.
Then on Thursday, he and Kline stumbled across this:
Apparently this wasn’t just a surprise for Kline. Winter says he kept quiet about the personalized Legacy Brick so his family also got in on the excitement.
And she said “Yes.”
Good thing because that brick has both of their names on it and appears to be pretty stuck in there.
Winter says that he and his fiancé are pretty big Vikings fans. Kline’s family has been a season tickets holder since the 80s and Winter even has a “SKOL” tattoo on his arm.
