The Minnesota Vikings used the No. 23 pick in the first-round of the NFL Draft to select Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd. Floyd was considered the top defensive tackle in most mock drafts into tonight’s actual draft.
With the 25th overall selection, the Vikings picked Florida State defensive back Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes is a 6-foot-2, 217 pound corner. He’s a physical corner that will match up better with the bigger, stronger wide receivers in the division (Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall).

The Vikings then traded back into the first-round in a huge trade with the Patriots to select Tennessee wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson with pick No. 29. Minnesota traded its second round, third round, fourth round and seventh round picks to move up.
