The annual Minnesota Vikings draft party is will be held May 8 at the Minneapolis Convention Center, the team announced today.
The draft party was held at Mall of America Field, which no longer exists, the previous two years.
General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.vikings.com/drafttickets. Season ticket holders will receive up to four tickets per account, while supplies last. The festivities will include a live broadcast of NFL Network’s coverage of the first round of the draft, as well as live play-by-play of the draft from Vikings radio announcers Paul Allen and Pete Bercich.
Some Vikings players will also be signing autographs during the party.
The NFL Draft is just 22 days away, and if the first round resembles last year’s first round in any way, it’s going to be a wild night.
Last year’s first round wrapped up with the Vikings making a trade with the New England Patriots to select wide receiver/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson. Minnesota also drafted defensive tackle Shariff Floyd and cornerback Xavier Rhodes.
Minnesota has just one first-round pick this year (No. 8 overall).
