It’s Vikings cutdown day and among the players being released is veteran defensive lineman Brian Robison.
“Sad Day!” Robison posted on Twitter. “I love you Vikings Fans, teammates, coaches and all I have come in contact with over the years. This one hurts, but it’s not goodbye. More like see you later. Thank you Vikings for 11 amazing years and one opportunity. Formal letter to come soon.”

The Vikings have not made his release official, but it’s expected that his name will be among those listed by the time the Vikings have to make their 53-man roster official today.
Robison, 35, has spent his entire career with the Vikings. He was drafted in 2007 and became a full-time starter in 2011. He has racked up 60 sacks in his 11-year career.
He lost his starting job to Danielle Hunter last season but was still a versatile role player who moved up and down the defensive line. He took a pay cut to stay with the Vikings this season, but apparently won’t make the team.
