Vikings cornerback A.J. Jefferson has been jailed on suspicion of domestic assault early this morning.
According to the Hennepin County Sheriff’s jail roster, Anthony Ray “A.J.” Jefferson was taken in by the Eden Praire PD and received at 6:57 A.M. for probable cause domestic assault.
Jefferson left yesterday’s Vikings tie with Green Bay with a neck injury, and is being held without bail. He has 36 hours to be charged.
The team didn’t wait to see if Jefferson was booked, as the Purple announced his release this morning.
The Eden Praire police released this statement on the matter this afternoon, acquired by the Star Tribune.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22, a 23-year-old female reported to Eden Prairie Police that she was a victim of domestic assault.
Police arrested Anthony Ray Jefferson, 25, at his residence in Eden Prairie and he is now being held in the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause for domestic assault.
The case is currently under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
Head coach Leslie Frazier addressed the media this afternoon at his weekly press conference, but would not comment on Jefferson.
