Sunday’s tilt between the winless Vikings and Chargers will feature two of the better players who were questionable because of injuries. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Vikings are expected to have left tackle Christian Darrisaw in the lineup and edge rusher Joey Bosa could be on a snap count for the Chargers.
Pelissero reports that Bosa (hamstring) will play a little bit more than he did last week when he played 19 snaps and had two sacks against the Tennessee Titans. Bosa typically lines up on the left side so it’ll be right tackle Brian O’Neill’s job to deal with him.
Darrisaw injured his ankle in Minnesota’s Week 1 loss to the Bucs. He was active for last week’s game against the Eagles but wound up sitting out the entire game after tweaking the injury during pregame warmups.
Meanwhile, the Vikings will not have center Garrett Bradbury for a second straight game. He injured his back during the first quarter of the Week 1 game against Tampa Bay and hasn’t played since.
Outside linebacker Marcus Davenport is also inactive with an ankle injury.
The other big name on the inactive list is running back Cam Akers, who was traded to Minnesota on Tuesday.
