An MRI shows Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield suffered a small hand fracture during the upset victory over the Houston Texans on Sunday, the Pioneer Press reports. Winfield will wear a soft cast when the Vikings face the Green Bay Packers at the Metrodome on Sunday, Dec. 30.
“We don’t expect it to be a problem in this ball game,” coach Leslie Frazier said on Monday. “He’ll have it wrapped up, but he’ll be able to play, just like he finished the game yesterday.”

The Associated Press notes Adrian Peterson is also dealing with an abdominal injury as the Vikings battle for a playoff spot, but he should be available against the Packers.
