Fifteen years in the NFL wasn’t enough so veteran cornerback Terence Newman is coming for a 16th season in 2018, and he’ll do so again with the Minnesota Vikings.
Just hours after announcing they’ll pick up Trae Waynes’ fifth-year option in 2019, the Vikings agreed to terms on a one-year deal with 39-year-old Newman.

Linebacker James Harrison was the oldest defensive player but he recently announced his retirement.

The other, of course, is Darrell Green. He played 45 games in his 40s.

Newman has five interceptions since signing with the Vikings three years ago and he’ll help add to Minnesota’s depth at cornerback along with Xavier Rhodes, Waynes, Mackensie Alexander, Mike Hughes and Marcus Sherels.
