With the magic of Josh Dobbs missing for two-plus games, the Vikings benched him in favor of backup quarterback Nick Mullens during the fourth quarter Sunday in Las Vegas.
Dobbs had completed 10-of-23 passes for just 67 yards and was sacked five times before head coach Kevin O’Connell pulled the plug on the Passtronaut.
Mullens went play-action on his first play and hit tight end T.J. Hockenson for a 26-yard gain – the longest play of the day for the Vikings.
