It was a statement victory for the Vikings on the road against the Cowboys Sunday night, leaving Dallas with a 28-24 win to improve to 7-3 in the NFC playoff race.
Dalvin Cook was the juice for Minnesota’s offense, rushing for 97 yards including the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter, in addition to hauling seven receptions for 86 yards.

Trailing 21-20 midway through the third quarter, the Vikings carved up seven minutes on a 13-play, 75-yard drive capped off by a two-yard touchdown run by Cook. A two-point conversion pass to Kyle Rudolph gave Minnesota a 28-21 lead that they didn’t relinquish.
Rudolph had his best pass-catching game of the season, finishing with four catches and the first two touchdowns of the game to give Minnesota a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

Dallas bounced back with touchdown passes from Dak Prescott to Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb, later taking a 21-20 lead on Prescott’s third touchdown pass to Amari Cooper.
Cooper finished with 11 receptions for 147 yards. Cobb also reached triple digits with six catches for 106 yards, while Gallup added 76 receiving yards.
At 7-3, the Vikings are one game (and a tiebreaker) behind the Packers (8-2) in the NFC North. Minnesota can get to 8-3 next Sunday when they host the Denver Broncos.
