It’ll be a Sunday night showdown when the Vikings visit the Bears in Week 11 as the NFL has flexed the game between NFC North powers to a prime-time slot.
The NFL announced the schedule change, moving the Vikings and Bears to Sunday Night Football at 7:20 p.m. from the original time of noon that Sunday, Nov. 18.
The Bears (5-3) play the Lions this week, and win or lose it’ll set the stage for a battle for first place against the Vikings (5-3-1) in Week 11.
Minnesota will enter the game off a much-needed bye week that could allow key players to return from injury.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs (ribs), linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring), left guard Tom Compton (knee) and safety Andrew Sendejo (groin) all missed this week’s win over the Lions, and now they’ll all get an extra week to recover.
Flexing the game to prime-time gives the Vikings two straight appearances on Sunday Night Football, as they’ll play the Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium on Thanksgiving weekend (Nov. 25) as well.
