Outside of wide receiver Justin Jefferson and backup quarterback Nick Mullens on injured reserve, the Minnesota Vikings will have a mostly healthy roster against the Chicago Bears today at Soldier Field.
The inactive list today features safety Lewis Cine, edge rusher Andre Carter, tight end Nick Muse, offensive lineman Hakeem Adeniji and defensive lineman Jaquelin Roy. None of them play big roles so them being inactive isn’t a big deal.
Mullens being out, however, means Jaren Hall is once again the backup quarterback so in the event that Kirk Cousins is injured, the Vikings’ hopes will be placed in the hands of the rookie fifth-round pick, who has never taken a snap in a regular season game.
The Bears, meanwhile, are without running backs Roschon Johnson and Travis Homer, ex-Minnesota Gophers defensive back Terell Smith and offensive lineman Aviante Collins.

Johnson is the No. 1 running back since Khalil Herbert was placed on IR and Homer is No. 3 on the depth chart, so that puts pressure on D’Onta Foreman as Chicago’s top back today.
Collins and Peterman are reserves but Smith is a key figure in the secondary and his absence could be troublesome for the Bears.
Kickoff is set for just after 12 p.m.
