The NFL season is only two weeks old and the Buffalo Bills have already established themselves as the worst team in the league.
The Bills have allowed 78 points through two games and been blown out by the Ravens and punched in the gut in their home opener against the Chargers. Now they have to play a far superior team when they visit the Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.
Vegas has taken notice of the unfair matchup and made the Vikings a gigantic favorite by 16.5 points, making it the largest spread so far this season.
It’s already so bad for the Bills that former Pro Bowl cornerback Vontae Davis simply quit during halftime of their loss to the Chargers on Sunday. He literally retired in the middle of a game saying he didn’t feel he could physically play any longer and he owed it to his family to make the right decision.
Buffalo is also starting a rookie quarterback, Josh Allen, who made his first career start against the Chargers and wound up with the lowest quarterback rating in the league on Sunday (18.9).
Allen completed 24-of-50 passes for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He was sacked EIGHT times.
What’s more is that Buffalo running back LeSean McCoy injured his ribs on Sunday. His status for Week 3 at Minnesota is unknown.
The Vikings couldn’t be playing the woeful Bills at a better time because after they likely demolish them on Sunday they’ll have four days to get ready to play an outstanding Los Angeles Rams team on the road on Thursday Night Football.
