Hill is a rookie who was signed off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. He signed with the Jaguars as an free agent in May.
Prior to signing with the Jaguars, Hill was a three-year starter for Southern Mississippi University.
Tackle Jake Long – who signed with the Vikings during their bye week – started in just 3 games before tearing his achilles in Minnesota’s loss to Washington last Sunday.
Long is the third tackle to go on the IR this season for the Vikings, joining Matt Kalil and Andre Smith.
Jeremiah Sirles, T.J. Clemmings and rookie Willie Beavers are the only healthy tackles on the roster for Minnesota.
It’s unknown who the Vikings will start at left and right tackle when they play the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 19 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
