The NFL unveiled all 16 opponents the Minnesota Vikings will play in 2014 on Tuesday.
As reported by ESPN, the Vikings both home and away against divisional opponents Green Bay, Detroit and Chicago. The remaining five home games will be against the Patriots, Jets, Falcons, Panthers and Redskins.
The rest of the away games will put the Vikings on trips to Buffalo, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay and St. Louis.
According to the Pioneer Press, the current combined record of Minnesota’s 2014 opponents is 110-110-2.
Considering how bad the NFC North has been this season, the list of opponents, dare we say, doesn’t look all that intimidating for the Purple next season.
If each team returns its current starting quarterback next season, the Vikings will be up against Aaron Rodgers, Matt Stafford, Jay Cutler, E.J. Manuel, Ryan Tannehill, Drew Brees, Mike Glennon, Kellen Clemons, Tom Brady, Geno Smith, Tom Brady, Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III.
Dates and times for each game won’t be announced until April.
With the Metrodome coming down following this year’s season finale Dec. 29 against the Lions, the Vikings will spend the 2014 and 2015 seasons playing outside at TCF Bank Stadium.
