It’s been about seven months since Bridgewater tore the ACL and dislocated his left knee during a non-contact drill at practice.
On Monday, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told SiriusXM NFL Radio that Teddy Bridgewater has started running in a pool but he’s still not rehabbing to the point of weight-bearing exercises. On Tuesday, according to the Star Tribune’s Andrew Krammer, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman reiterated that a timetable hasn’t been set for Bridgewater’s return, but he did say the quarterback is working his butt off.
“I can tell you there is no one I’ve seen other than Adrian [Peterson] when he came back from his ACL that has worked as hard as Teddy is working. And this is more significant than just an ACL,” Spielman said. “But Teddy is incredible with the attitude and work ethic that he’s put in to get back on the field as quickly as we can.”
Bridgewater might not be doing weighted exercises, but it’s a promising sign to see him post video of himself dropping back and throwing a pass.
So this surfaced on Reddit today. Appears to be Teddy Bridgewater dropping back and throwing. #Vikings pic.twitter.com/KJlyUJu1BZ
