The level of dominance the Minnesota Wild displayed in a 4-2 victory over St. Louis Blues on Thursday night is probably a good indication that luck won’t be necessary as long as they stick to their game plan.
But a little luck can’t hurt, and that’s what a handful of Minnesota Twins are hoping as they released a brief video wishing luck to the Wild.
Wishing the wild good luck in the MLB.com video are: manager Paul Molitor, closer Glen Perkins, second baseman Brian Dozier, first baseman Joe Mauer and outfielder Torii Hunter.
Mauer, normally clean shaven, says he didn’t grow his beard for nothing. Hunter wants the Wild to win the Stanley Cup so he can drink from it.
Game 2 of Minnesota’s best-of-seven series against the Blues is 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Louis.
