There has been a lot of talk about the impressive home runs that Miguel Sano has been slugging for the Twins during spring training.
The Twins’ third base prospect has been impressing fans and coaches with his power in the minors for years. They were hoping he would bring that power to their Major League lineup at some point last season, but the highly touted youngster underwent Tommy John surgery that caused him to miss the entire season.
On Monday, Sano exhibited some of that power in a Twins spring training game against Pittsburgh, and was it ever impressive.
Miguel Sano was asked if he knew his home run was gone, "I thought it was a pop up but …" and then he smiled and pointed to his bicep.

It was Sano’s first homer of the spring and was Minnesota’s only run in a tie with Pittsburgh.
Here is some reaction to Sano’s big fly.
Just saw video of the Miguel Sano homer. #Jawdropping Off Gerrit Cole. Straightaway center, with plenty of room to spare. Watch at 6pm!

First pitch from Cole to Miguel Sano goes straight through the wind and onto the boardwalk in center field.

Miguel Sano just hit a bomb to left-center into the wind. Around 425+ feet! #MNTwins
