Very few things are better in Major League Baseball than watching an outfielder throw out a runner trying to sneak an extra base. Well unless that runner is Alex Rodriguez, then it’s even more enjoyable.
Twins left fielder Robbie Grossman had that very opportunity Thursday night. Rodriguez had just hit what appeared to be a routine single. Rodriguez was trying to sneak into second base, but Grossman had other ideas.
Guessing A-Rod had no idea who #MNTwins LF Robbie Grossman was. Former Astros backup signed May 16. https://t.co/8dWOsOMUBA

Unfortunately for the Twins it wasn’t enough. The Yankees pulled away in the seventh on a three-run homer by Didi Gregorius in the seventh inning to give the Yankees a 4-1 lead.
They held on to win by the same margin.
