Christian Ponder – he is a well-dressed dude, isn’t he? – likewise blamed turnovers for the reason the Vikings lost 34-24 in Detroit Sunday.
“They had some turnovers,” the Vikings QB said about the Lions, “but they overcame adversity better than we did.”
Minnesota had four to Detroit’s two. All of the Vikings TO were due to Ponder – three interceptions and a muffed handoff to Adrian Peterson – which he did not address directly.
It was not lost on Ponder that the Vikes play a divisional foe next week on the road – the Bears in Chicago.
“We can’t do that again next week,” he offered. “We can’t have two losses in a row.”
