EDEN PRAIRIE — Vikings quarterback is agrees with head coach Leslie Frazier. He says being in a playoff hunt “is a great opportunity.”
Earlier, Frazier told reporters that the next three games will be “a defining moment” for the struggling second-year quarterback.
The Vikings likely need to win out to make the NFC playoffs with a 10-6 record.
Ponder also agreed with the coach in focusing on the run first, and the pass second — especially with Adrian Peterson in the backfield.
“I think we’re throwing the ball enough,” he said. “We threw the ball, I think, 17 times this past week. That’s a decent amount of throws.”
