Sam Wackman graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall last month and his graduation party was, safe to say, blazing.
Buffalo Wild Wings selected Wackman as the winner of their “Alive Events,” where they surprised him on the day of his grad party with a truckload of wings and other goodies, including a surprise visit from Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson.
The surprise began with Patterson on a video board congratulating Wackman and apologizing that he couldn’t be there to celebrate in person.
“Hold on one second,” Patterson said in the video before popping out of a car to stun Wackman and all of his guests.

Patterson played bean bag toss with fans, posed for pictures and signed autographs.
According to Daily Norseman, B-Dubs also gave Wackman an Apple Watch, BlueTooth headphones and season tickets to University of Wisconsin hockey games, where he’ll be attending college.
The Daily Norseman also chatted with Patterson after the interview, and he said it’s always a goal of his to have a smile on his face.
“Always have a smile on,” he said. “I tell people, if you catch me not with a smile on my face, just slap me and tell me to get my mind right. I feel like that what life’s all about, having fun. I heard if you smile a lot, you live longer, so that’s probably another reason I smile a lot.”
Patterson will join the Vikings when they report to Mankato for training camp on July 25.
