Video: Ortiz gets 2,000, tweets Boston was “best thing to happen in my career”

The Red Sox clubbed EIGHT home runs against the AL Central leading Tigers last night, but the most memorable of the 19 hits Boston racked up in their 20-4 win over Detroit was a milestone for a former Twin.

Behold, the one (of many) that got away, and his 2,000th hit (only 393 of which were in a Twins uniform). Oh by the way, he also had two of those eight bombs.

This will hurt Twins fans. This was Big Papi’s tweet thanking fans for the congratulations.
