Minnesota Wild coach Mike Yeo said he’s not the type of guy who pulls his goalie after giving up two goals … but Wednesday was different.
Josh Harding, who gave up two early goals that erased a 1-0 Minnesota lead over Chicago, was pulled in favor of Niklas Backstrom.
At the time, Harding didn’t like it, and was seen on camera smashing his stick against a wall:

With Backstrom in nets, Chicago didn’t score again and the Wild pulled out a 3-2 shootout win.
Afterwards Yeo told reporters Harding seemed to be fighting the puck. “I just felt that’s what we needed,” he said.
