Give credit, angry Vikings fans, to Coach Leslie Frazier for taking this loss on him.
Immediately after the game, Frazier said he had to do better, a first talking point for his official post-game presser:
“Very difficult loss,” Frazier said, reflectively. “On the road, that last two-minute sequence, I could have done some things different. I told my players after the game, I don’t think our staff could have asked for any better preparation, any better fight from a team, but personally I have to do a better job of guiding our team in that last sequence, I want them to know know that.”
You know what? That’s the kind of honesty you want from a coach: The kind where it also happens to be true.
So, let’s let a candid Leslie Frazier explain his feelings. Video courtesy of Vikings.com is here.
