There were a few scary moments during Friday’s Game 2 between Toronto and Texas involving a couple of former Minnesota Twins.
Toronto pitcher Francisco Liriano left Friday’s game after getting hit in the head by a wicked line drive off the bat of his former Twins teammate Carols Gomez – now a Rangers outfielder.
Liriano didn’t even go to the ground, but he was eventually taken out of the game. He was able to leave the field under his own power.
Francisco Liriano just got hit DIRECTLY in the back of the head..102 miles per hour right back at him… He leaves the game Hope ok #ALDS

He worked just a third of an inning, giving up two runs on two hits. The Blue Jays held on to win 5-3 and take a 2-0 lead in the series.
