We already filed our top sports clip for Tuesday, but what former Timberwolves first-round pick Derrick Williams did Monday night against the Chicago Bulls is too good to pass up.
Williams, who was traded by the Timberwolves to the Sacramento Kings on Nov. 26, stole a pass and took off down the court for what should have been an easy dunk. Instead, the 6-foot-8, 241-pound former No. 2 overall pick attempted to lob the ball off the backboard to himself, and what ensued was disastrous.
NBA.com called it an “epic dunk fail.”
The Kings blew out the Bulls so the missed off-the-glass slam isn’t quite as bad, and kudos to Williams for having some humility about it.
