Former Twins outfielder Aaron Hicks made a highlight-reel play last night for the New York Yankees. With the bases loaded, Hicks caught a sacrifice fly and gunned out (another former Twin) Danny Valencia at home plate.

According to MLB’s StatCast, the throw was clocked at 105.5 miles per hour, which was the fastest throw ever recorded.
Ironically, the previous record holder was another former Twins outfielder in Carlos Gomez, which was registered at 103.1 miles per hour.
