Professional athletes sometimes can seem super human. There have been stretches in Devan Dubnyk’s career with Minnesota where it has seemed that way.
But when you learn they face many of the same challenges and fears as everyone else, you can begin to see them differently.
In honor of Hockey Fight’s Cancer Night at the Xcel Energy Center, Dubnyk shared his family’s personal and touching story of what it was like for him growing up when he learned that his mom had been diagnosed cancer.
