What’s up with Minnesota mascots causing trouble? The latest oopsie happened Thursday night when Timberwolves mascot “Crunch” injured Karl-Anthony Towns’ dad.
According to Jon Krawczynski, Crunch was sledding down the Target Center stairs – a normal routine – when he “blasted” Karl-Anthony Towns Sr., resulting in a knee injury that will require an MRI.
Video of the hit is below, although it’s really hard to see Towns’ dad in a green shirt near the bottom right of the stairs. It looks like Crunch hits a chair that ends up hitting Towns Sr.
@DWolfsonKSTP FYI. Here’s a vid I took of Crunch sliding down last night. pic.twitter.com/ouPBcab2E6

A couple of weeks ago the Wild’s mascot fake beat up another mascot with a baseball bat and the team had to apologize for the violent skit.
