It’s only September and the Minnesota Timberwolves season is still over a month away. But Timberwolves fans who are having a hard time containing their excitement to watch the new young Wolves players can get a little basketball fix by following the Canadian national team.
That’s because one of the Wolves’ most prominent superstars is suited up for the Canadian team, and he’s making quite the impact.
On Tuesday, Andrew Wiggins offered another taste of what Timberwolves fans are salivating for, with this authoritative dunk against Argentina in the 2015 FIBA Americas opener.
Despite Wiggins’ best efforts, the Canadian team fell to Argentina 94-87. But Wiggins and another one of his Timberwolves teammates – Anthony Bennett – were Canada’s leading scorers. Each finished with 13 points.
Canada next matches up with Cuba.
