Andrew Wiggins scored 32 points Monday – 17 of them in the fourth quarter – to help the Timberwolves end a 14-game home losing streak that dated back to last season.
For a taste of what the second-year guard/forward doing right now, check out the video above (it starts at 2:36). It’s late in the fourth quarter, Wiggins and Kevin Martin force a turnover, then Martin gets blocked – but Wiggins is there to clean it up and throw down an angry dunk that ties the game.
He finished shooting 10-of-21 from the field and 1-of-3 from 3-point land, plus hit 11 of his 12 free throw attempts. Here’s his shot chart, which shows how he scored almost all of his buckets by getting into the paint.
Wiggins – at only 20 years old – is averaging 22.3 points per game this season.
Here’s the full cut-up of Wiggins from Monday night.
